Thermal Cycle

To help you decide which areas of the spa to use in what order, remember the steps to follow to get the full benefits of thermotherapy.

Hot

First, grab a towel and make yourself comfortable in the sauna. Let your body soak in the heat. Note that the higher you go in the sauna, the hotter it is. Your body will respond to the heat by sweating to try to maintain a temperature of 37°C. Your blood vessels and pores will dilate to evacuate the excess heat, which will also release toxins from your body. This step should last 15–20 minutes

Cold

To get full benefit of your thermal cycle, it is crucial to cool your body temperature as a second step. Plunge into the icy waterfall pool—to your shoulders or deeper for at least 15 seconds! The temperature shock is like a whip to your skin, instantly closing your pores and boosting blood circulation and adrenaline levels.

Rest

Wrap yourself warmly and rest in one of the indoor or outdoor areas. Your heartbeat will slowly return to normal, the adrenaline will leave your body and endorphins will take its place. A feeling of deep relaxation will envelop your body and mind. Make sure to drink plenty of water to rehydrate.

These three steps can be repeated as often as you like, but two or three cycles are enough for complete relaxation. Your body gets used to the temperature changes as you repeat the experience. The more you repeat it, the more relaxed you become.
